- Great house, nice area, perfect for all types of getaway -
For anyone staying in Ayr I can recommend Coorie Doon Cottage, don't let the name throw you its much larger than a cottage. Located a 5 min drive from the centre of Ayr it provides an ideal base for exploring. Brig o' Doon is only a 5 minute drive - Burns Cottage is literally across the road. There is a lovely country store next door and the Poets Corner Bistro provided us with all our breakfast needs.
The house itself has 2 pretty large doubles and a large twin and the house is decorated to a very high standard and the living room has two large comfortable couches with a wood burning stove if you want to just sit in and relax.
We had no issue with taxis into the town and Ayr racecourse is only a 10 minute drive.
Couldn't recommend it highly enough for anyone taking a trip to Ayr.
- Excellent -
This is a beautiful and spacious cottage in a lovely little village. The internal decor is done out really well and provided a very comfortable home from home. It is very versatile and would suit a lot of different groups. Our 3 year old had a fantastic stay and we will surely be looking to stay again sometime in the near future.
- Beautiful cottage in a wonderful location!! -
Stayed at Coorie Doon for two nights with my two teenagers plus dog in tow. Cottage is located directly across the road from Robert Burns cottage on the Main Street.
Easy to park right outside.
Extremely spacious house with loads of character. We all enjoyed two good nights sleep in very comfortable beds.
Breakfast two doors down at Poets Corner was delicious.
Will definitely be back again.
